Latest Express Entry Draw invites 1980 applicants

Express EntryIn the latest general draw by the IRCC the Canada Government has selected 1980 applicants. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score  for selection of applicants was  524

This is the lowest CRS Score till date in the general category for this year. The draw comes after a fortnight. The last Express entry draw was a category based draw  for transport category and was conducted on March 13th.

What is Express Entry System?

Express Entry  System Is the best way for individuals  to apply for various Canada immigration. The three  subprograms in the program are the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.  With the help of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) the candidates are evaluated based on factors such as language proficiency, education, work experience, and age. Those with the highest CRS scores are more likely to receive ITAs from IRCC and they are   invited for their permanent residency in Canada. 

What are the category based Express Entry draws?
In 2024, the Canadian  Government   announced six distinct categories aimed at addressing the nation's pressing labor shortages and promoting French language proficiency beyond Quebec. These categories, designed to persist throughout the year, encompass a broad spectrum of occupations and skills essential to Canada's growth and development.
 
Healthcare occupations 
Healthcare Occupations  help acknowledge the critical need for skilled professionals in the healthcare sector. Thus helping me providing the quality medical services to Canadians. With an aging population and increasing demand for healthcare services, this category targets individuals with expertise in various medical fields.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

Trades Occupations category

The Transport Occupations category addresses the need for qualified professionals in the transportation sector, including drivers, logistics specialists, and aviation personnel. Agriculture and Agri-Food Occupations
Agriculture and Agri-Food Occupations highlight the significance of the agricultural sector in ensuring food security and fostering economic resilience. This category aims to attract skilled workers involved in farming, food production, and agricultural research to support sustainable agriculture practices and innovation.

Strong French Proficiency
the Strong French Proficiency category emphasizes Canada's commitment to linguistic diversity and promotes French language proficiency outside Quebec. Candidates proficient in French receive priority consideration, aligning with the government's efforts to strengthen the presence of French language and culture throughout the country.

Since the introduction of these categories, French-speaking candidates have consistently received a high number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent resident status from the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This underscores the success of the initiative in achieving its dual objectives of addressing labor shortages and promoting linguistic diversity.
