IRCC’s New Express Entry Draw selected 1,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in Trades Occupation

Express Entry DrawImmigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sent out 1,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent status on October 23, 2024. These were sent through the Express Entry system. This brings in certain types of trade workers, which fits with Canada's new shift toward category-based selection in the Express Entry program. To get an offer, you needed a 433 on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is lower than in previous draws of the same kind. People with trade skills who want to move to Canada have a great chance with this choice.

The Key Highlights of the Draw –

•    ITA- 1800
•    CRS Score - 433

Canada’s Applicants selection through Category Based Draws

Canada's main way of dealing with skilled worker visa requests is through Express Entry. The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are the three ways that people can come to the country to work. In the last few years, the Canadian government has started to use draws based on categories. These help IRCC find people based on things like their job, how well they speak French, or where they went to school. This way of handling immigration tries to balance the needs of the job market with Canada's main economic goals.

This includes the recent job fair that was mostly about trade work. In particular, the IRCC is going after skill jobs in important fields like plumbing, building, carpentry, welding, and more. Canada needs more workers in these areas, and this draw shows that the country is still determined to get skilled workers to help the economy.

The Latest  Express Entry draw – Trade Occupations

You need a CRS score of 433 to enter this draw. This is a little less than the 436 score you needed for the last trade-occupation draw on July 4, 2024. People who applied should be happy about the lower score because it means the IRCC might be ready to lower the barriers to entry to fit the needs of the job market right away. By letting more people get ITAs, Canada can make sure that skilled workers can come to the country and do important work in many areas. As in July, the same number of letters were sent out. This shows that Canada's plan to hire people in skilled trades is still working.

This was the first draw based on a trade or occupation group since July. It's also different from the last few category-based draws, which were all about French language skills. This shows that the government can change with the times and is aware of how the job market is doing. That's why IRCC makes sure that Canada's immigration rules are open and in line with the country's economic goals. They do this by focusing on job-related skills instead of language skills.

In this Express Entry draw, 1,800 ITAs were given to people in trade jobs. This shows that Canada is still trying to fill jobs in important areas where there aren't enough workers. With a focus on certain trades and a lower CRS score standard, the draw gives skilled workers who want to move to Canada more options. By hiring people with skills that are in high demand, this approach helps fill open jobs right now and also supports long-term economic growth.
