In its most recent effort to bring in skilled workers to Canada, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a draw for people applying for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). There were 400 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) which were sent to suitable candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 547 .This is the best CRS score needed for a CEC draw this year, which is interesting.
• ITA – 400 (CEC)
• CRS score - 547
This draw came after a drawing for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) on November 12th, which had 733 applicants. The CEC draw today is the second Express Entry draw of the month, and it works with the 2025 immigration level plan that was already revealed. Canada hopes to get 124,680 Express Entry applicants next year thanks to this big plan.
The ITAs given out today will help meet the goals for 2025 admissions, with a focus on two main streams: the Federal Economic Priorities group and the In-Canada emphasis. There are 82,980 spots available through the In-Canada Focus program, which is aimed at temporary residents in Canada, many of whom are likely to be CEC or PNP applicants. This stream will bring in more than 40% of Canada's total economic immigration goal.
The Federal Economic Priorities category, on the other hand, wants to bring in 41,700 permanent people. It focuses on people who can fill important job openings, especially in skilled trades, healthcare, and other fields outside of Quebec that need French language skills. This fits with Canada's goal of attracting foreigners to help the country's economy grow and fill important job openings.

Express Entry is the system that handles applications for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. These are Canada's three main economic immigration schemes. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is used to judge applicants for these programs. It looks at things like age, schooling, language skills, work experience, and job offers.
Applicants may also get extra points if they have a brother living in Canada, are moving there with a spouse, or have studied or worked in Canada. People who apply through the expanded Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream can get an extra 600 points, which greatly increases their chances of getting an ITA.
Overall, the Express Entry method makes sure that Canada chooses applicants who are most likely to do well financially and fit in with Canadian society. This helps the country reach its immigration and population goals.
