Alberta Province announces new Draw and New Brunswick offers processing details

Alberta Province announces new DrawAlberta is holding its first provincial election of 2025, and New Brunswick talks about how the process is going.

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has sent invitations to people who want to be in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) as part of its immigration choices for 2025. The people who were invited were chosen based on their professional understanding, work experience, and ties to the province.

New Brunswick also gave a report on how the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) applications are being handled now that the province's immigration routes are open again.

The AAIP talked about the first three PNP draws of the year, which happened from February 3rd to February 6th. There are a lot of people who want to go through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway and the Rural Renewal Stream, both through Express Entry and other ways.

The draws are listed below:

Date Stream Cut – off ITA
3rd February 2025 Rural Renewal stream 68 190
5th February 2025 Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry) 52 70
6th February 2025 Dedicated Health Care Pathway (non-Express Entry) 50 48

After having problems with its Expression of Interest (EOI) site, New Brunswick has given important reports on how applications for the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) are being handled.

Things that are important about the update:

•   A planned draw will be held by the NBPNP in March 2025 to give out Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
•   The EOIs that have been sent in are being looked over by the province right now.
•   It's hard for the Immigration New Brunswick (INB) page to work right now because there are so many people trying to use it at once.
•   The province is fixing bugs in the tool to make it more stable.
The NBPNP also made it clear that the Skilled Worker Stream does not work on a "first-come, first-served" basis. People who want to apply should check the new eligibility requirements, especially the ones that have to do with National Occupational Classification (NOC) code limits, before turning in an EOI.

EOIs sent through the INB page are valid for one year from the date they were sent.
